Mapari Wilderness Camp

3 - 5 Day Trip

A vast land and wild. A green country of spreading vistas untouched by the hand of man. A great wilderness forever beckoning with a secret, over the next ridge, through the forest, across the river...

Guyana Truly Wild owns and operates the Mapari Wilderness Camp, located within the Kanuku Mountain range, 35 miles upriver from the Caiman House Eco Lodge in Yupukari Village.

Why visit?

It’s rich, it’s pristine, it’s remote.

Remote and rarely visited, Mapari Wilderness Camp, overlooking a clear water creek, is not your typical lodge. Wildlife present themselves around every turn. Our hammock camp overlooks a small waterfall and natural bathing pool. Take a short stroll to a harpy eagle nest, enjoy forest hikes, see Goliath bird eating spiders, and partake in spotlighting river drifts at night. This short, custom built, 4-5 day trip is perfect for those with a limited amount of time who wish to get into a pristine wilderness area. Longer trips are also available.
